ABOUT US
Originating in the '60s, Early Rise Soil was first established by a group of local farmers and inventors who had seen the value and the potential of our own Alberta grown sphagnum peat moss.
Operating out of a 140ft X 60ft warehouse, the original owners created an innovative bagging system. Primitive yet innovative, it was through the use of grain augers and other farming equipment that the crew was able to get the job done.

Early Rise Soil Products farms or locally sources all peat-based soil and compost products in Alberta. Our products are 100% organic peat-based, perfect for greenhouses, gardens, and flower beds.
Devoted to promoting the sustainable management of our peatlands through responsible environmental stewardship, we accomplish our harvesting with sustainability and the environment in mind. We work to harvest our peat bogs in a manner that minimizes the risk to the ecosystem and abides by the CSPMA preservation and reclamation policy.
